• Bait Reef – is about 2 – 3 hours beyond the Whitsunday Islands and provides a picturesque journey, with an unbroken horizon and beautiful blue waters.  It is the choice Outer Reef destination in the Whitsundays. It is totally protected under the Great Barrier Reef Plan of Management and is abundant in marine life and corals, ready to be explored. The natural lagoon provides a safe haven for overnight mooring and is an eden for snorkelling and scuba diving.

• Whitsunday Island – where Whitehaven Beach & Hill Inlet is located – experience the pure white silica sand as a backdrop against the crystal blue waters. The sand is soft on your feet on a hot day and great for polishing your jewellery!  Take the guided bush walk through the Whitsundays National Park to Hill Inlet lookout and have your camera ready for that photographic moment you have been waiting for with the swirling sands and Whitehaven Beach.
  

• Blue Pearl Bay and Mantaray Bay at the top of Hook Island are idylic for snorkelling and more beach time.

  All destinations are subject to wind and tide conditions on the day of travel.

• Children over 12 years allowed on board, subject to skipper approval, and must share private twin or private double cabin with parent.

• 1 day on the Outer Reef (weather permitting)

• Kiana’s saloon and all cabins are fully air-conditioned to ensure your comfort during those steamy tropical evenings. 

• Above deck there’s lots of room for gearing up to go diving, snorkelling or relaxing in the sun.

Sail and Dive the Whitsunday Islands and Outer Great Barrier Reef on the 16.4m ketch Kiana. Below decks Kiana is fitted out for maximum comfort for 14 passengers.  Our skipper, hostess and dive instructor will ensure you enjoy the best of both worlds, sailing and diving by day and great food and a relaxed atmosphere in the evenings.

All Meals Prepared Fresh on Board
All meals are prepared on board Kiana from fresh ingredients.  Our unique “marine hungi” will satisfy the gourmet within you.  The Hungi is a traditional New Zealand Maori method of cooking in an earth oven.  On Kiana we have adapted this concept with our own marine version.

Kiana is fully equipped for Scuba Diving.  All dive gear is included in the tour price.  Kiana is fitted with a high capacity compressor on board, capable of filling 6 Scuba tanks simultaniously, so your diving is not limited by the number of tanks that can be carried.

Please note:  Guest’s wishing to try Scuba Diving as an introductory diver may require a Diver’s Medical Certificate to the AS4005.1 Australian Standard.  A medical certificate is required if:

• The guest is aged 45 years or older;

• The guest suffers from certain medical conditions;

• The guests is taking certain prescription medications

More information about dive medicals and when they are required can be found on this website www.divemedicals.com.au.  If there is any uncertainty it is best to obtain a medical certificate to avoid the possibility of disappointment.
